If all you are looking for is some non-serious dates to have a good time, you should be fine. Many men have begun leaving the Church in their early twenties as the mission has become more important. Marriage to the right person is wonderful. You just can't imagine the heap o' hurt you're potentially setting yourself up for.
Best to all of you, and may God Fate help us all. I've been working like crazy myself, so it is easy for me to understand time issues involved in drs' training. She seems to be ok with that, and wants to continue our relationship, and also talks about wanting marriage and children, and raising those children to be mormon like her even if I'm not religious. Religion is super important to LDS people but there's also alot of exmormons. Once last piece of advice to you girls who are "dating" or "engaged to" a doc: Don't confuse "dating" and "engaged to" with "married to" - get the ring on your finger and seal the deal. A good place to go is to a museum, hiking, or to a park. Having married over the course of my life not one but two wonderful non-Mormon men one Jewish and one low-church ProtestantI can say that my own spirituality has been profoundly deepened and enriched by the perspective that these two God-fearing and spiritually mature people offered me, and by my participation in the observances of their traditions. The big one is that under Mormon theology both of you must be believing, fully active members to live together in the afterlife. And as an outsider it will be obvious to you what's going on, but here's an awesome breakdown from a couple that flipped from "we go to church every week - we will write a Mormon blog" to resigning over the new policy banning children of gays all over the NY Times this month and something that is upsetting many staunch church members a few days ago. No easy answers here.
